Some days it is not so bad.

Mirrors don't blacken, bend under the weight of a breath. Gravity holds. Leonard feels his feet firmly grafted to the earth. Other days, the chandelier swarms with snakes.       Like sleeping through a lattice of ghost nets.       Like keeping all your goodbyes in a glass case. Like the sun full of black snow.                    Days like these, a circle could kill.
